Loft & Lie Fitting
This is the session the studio takes its name from. A bench reading tells you what a club measures at rest. This session tells you what it actually delivers — and the gap between those two numbers is where most golfers' misses live.
Two Numbers, Placed Side by Side
Every session starts with a static bench reading — loft and lie recorded on a club sitting perfectly still, exactly the way most fittings elsewhere stop. From there we add impact tape and a lie board and ask you to swing normally. The marks left behind tell us, in real degrees, how far the delivered number has drifted from the resting one.
That drift isn't a flaw in the club or a sign you're doing something wrong — it's simply information nobody collected before. Once we have it, correcting for it is a bending-machine problem, not a swing-lesson problem.
What a Gap Between the Two Numbers Usually Means
| Pattern | Likely Cause | General Direction |
|---|---|---|
| Dynamic lie flatter than static | Hands set higher at address than posture supports | Bend more upright |
| Dynamic lie more upright than static | Hands sitting low, toe hovering at address | Bend flatter |
| Dynamic loft lower than static | Forward shaft lean adding loft delofting at impact | Add static loft |
| Dynamic loft higher than static | Scooping motion through impact | Reduce static loft, revisit setup |
This table is a rough map, not a verdict — your actual correction comes from your own impact tape, not a lookup chart.
What's Checked, Club by Club
Single Club
One club, checked static and dynamic, with a bend recommendation and a re-test to confirm the correction actually held.
Full Iron Set
Every iron gets its own dynamic reading, since lie drift is rarely uniform from the 4-iron down to the pitching wedge.
Whole Bag
Woods, hybrids, irons, and wedges all get the same static-versus-dynamic treatment inside one extended appointment.
Put Your Own Clubs on the Bench
Sessions run 60 minutes and include a re-test after any bend, so you leave knowing the correction actually took.
