Driver Fitting

Most driver fittings end at a static loft number dialed into an adjustable hosel. We keep going — checking what that hosel setting actually delivers once a crosswind off Bellingham Bay gets involved.

Dynamic Loft, Not Just Hosel Loft

The Setting on the Sleeve Isn't the Whole Answer

Shaft lean at impact adds or subtracts real degrees from whatever the hosel is dialed to, and that lean varies enough between golfers that identical hosel settings can produce noticeably different launch numbers. We measure the delivered number directly instead of assuming the sleeve marking tells the full story.

Spin axis gets logged alongside it, since curve and launch are frequently misdiagnosed as the same problem when they're actually two separate levers to pull.

What Four Different Ball Flights Usually Point To

Big Right-to-Left Curve

Often a wider spin-axis tilt than the golfer realizes. We test two or three head/shaft pairings that narrow the axis before touching swing mechanics.

Flight Won't Get Off the Ground

Delivered loft frequently reads lower than the sleeve setting suggests for a steep attacker. We correct with hosel loft and CG position together.

Fine Indoors, Falls Apart Outside

A bay build with no crosswind data behind it can lose ten-plus yards the moment real wind off the water enters the picture.

Strike Wanders Toe to Heel

Length and lie usually matter more here than head model. We check both before recommending a different head entirely.

What Changes in the Build

Four Levers, Adjusted Together

Loft, shaft weight and bend profile, CG placement, and length all move the same handful of launch numbers, but rarely in the same direction. We adjust them as a set rather than tuning one and hoping the rest falls into line.

Grip diameter gets a final check too — small enough to overlook, big enough to shift face angle at the moment of contact.

Find Out What Your Hosel Setting Is Actually Doing

Sessions run about an hour with your current driver plus demo heads across major manufacturers, ending with a written spec and, if you want one, a build order.
